Print Process Setup Technician Duties and Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Follow all safety protocols, wear required PPE and actively promote a safe work culture.</li>
<li>Prepare production lines and equipment for daily operations, ensuring all parameters are correctly set according to job specifications.</li>
<li>Set up, operate and monitor glass screen printing and automation equipment to meet required standards for accuracy, appearance, and print quality of finished products and ensure the final products are dried and/or cured properly.</li>
<li>Measure and mix raw materials to create specific printing ink mixtures according to formulas and batch sheets.</li>
<li>Select and mount print screens into print press and align to ensure proper registration.</li>
<li>Monitor print quality throughout production and make adjustments as needed to maintain print consistency, correct color matching, consistent registration, and production speed.</li>
<li>Document setup procedures, adjustments, and any process changes to support traceability and continuous improvement.</li>
<li>Respond to and perform technical troubleshooting on production, automation equipment and processes to minimize downtime.</li>
<li>Inspect print screens for any imperfections which may affect print quality.</li>
<li>Design print screen patterns according to product and customer specifications.</li>
<li>Perform basic in-process and end of shift maintenance tasks to ensure proper operational capability of production and automation equipment.</li>
<li>Support routine maintenance efforts and report equipment concerns appropriate personnel for resolution.</li>
<li>Read, interpret, and execute production orders, process instructions, and machine parameter settings.</li>
<li>Conduct quality inspections of raw materials and finished products to identify defects or deviations from specifications.</li>
<li>Train and mentor team members to enhance technical capabilities.</li>
<li>Manage production documentation, including creation and closure of work orders in ERP systems.</li>
<li>Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement on the production floor.</li>
<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering to resolve issues.</li>
<li>Able to perform basic mathematics (add, subtract, multiply, and divide) in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.</li>
<li>Calculate basic mathematical US standard to metric unit conversions.</li>
<li>Perform other related duties as assigned by management.</li>
</ul>
 
 
Print Process Setup Technician Requirements and Qualifications
 
Education
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>2-year technical or graphic arts degree, such as industrial machinery technology, manufacturing technology, industrial electronics, industrial automation, or equivalent experience.</li>
</ul>
 
Experience
<ul>
<li>Minimum 3 years of experience in a screen printing production environment.</li>
<li>Minimum 2 years operating complex screen printing, oven curing, and automation equipment.</li>
<li>Minimum 2 years experience in HMI touch screen control systems, automation, or precision manufacturing, including machine set-up.</li>
<li>Experience in an ISO, FDA, or GMP registered facility is preferred.</li>
</ul>
 
Knowledge & Skills
<ul>
<li>Ability to fluently speak, read, and write in English.</li>
<li>Vision and hearing must be within or correctable to within normal range.</li>
<li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, and familiarity with ERP systems.</li>
<li>Experience reading and interpreting production paperwork, labels, and computer files.</li>
<li>Ability to read, measure, and adjust high precision gauging equipment, dials, and displays.</li>
<li>Use of measuring devices including rulers, tape measures, calipers, dial indicators, gauge blocks, precision weighing scales, and graduated cylinders.</li>
<li>Use of hand tools such as wrenches, torque wrenches, screw drivers, and ratchets.</li>
<li>Proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical or process issues independently.</li>
<li>Knowledge of inks, solvents, other chemical mixture components and handling procedures.</li>
<li>Strong technical and mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and operate complex automation equipment.</li>
<li>Able to work in a fast-paced environment.</li>
</ul>
 
Physical Demands and Work Environment
<ul>
<li>Ability to meet physical demands of the job including but not limited to walking, standing, bending, pushing, pulling, sitting for extended periods of time at a desk using a computer.</li>
<li>Ability to periodically lift 50lbs.</li>
<li>Exposure to moderate machine noise levels.</li>
<li>Exposure to some chemicals, including but not limited to solvents, solvent based inks, catalysts, and PTFE.</li>

This position is onsite in Arlington, Texas. This position pays: $24.09-$27.00 depending upon experience.
