Key Responsibilities

Clinical / Office Responsibilities

  • Review laboratory and imaging results prior to patient visits
  • Obtain and document detailed patient histories
  • Collaborate with physicians regarding patient findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans
  • Prepare exam rooms and ensure necessary equipment is available
  • Administer injections and perform minor in-office procedures
  • Provide care for established and post-operative patients
  • Educate patients on diagnoses, treatments, and surgical processes
  • Develop and manage individualized patient care plans
  • Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with physician protocols
  • Order and review pre-operative labs and imaging
  • Support physician efficiency through thorough preparation and coordination
  • Assist with medical documentation and chart completion as needed
  • Serve as a backup to Clinical Assistants when needed

Administrative & Patient Communication

  • Document all patient interactions accurately and timely
  • Respond to patient calls and messages throughout the day
  • Triage incoming calls and provide appropriate clinical guidance
  • Coordinate prescription requests with pharmacies and physicians
  • Assist with scheduling and ensure urgent cases are accommodated appropriately
  • Help maintain efficient patient flow within the clinic
