Job Description Summary

Organizational Summary Statement:
This position oversees the placement of instructional support, including Undergraduate Course Aides and Academic Peer Mentors, in INFO courses and undergraduate co-curricular support spaces. The position ensures the accuracy of undergraduate student records by managing record updates, including grade changes and duplicate credit monitoring. The position also oversees undergraduate degree clearance processes, coordinating timely review of graduation requirements and working with appropriate campus offices to ensure accurate and efficient processing. Additionally, this role supports recruitment efforts for the INFO undergraduate programs.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: One (1) year of experience in education or academic affairs.

Other: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: 

Knowledge of program management and assessment.
Knowledge of instruction for higher education students.
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace products.
Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
Ability to multitask while demonstrating a commitment to customer service.

Preferences:
• Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Business Administration,  Information Science, Information Management, or related field
• 1–3 years of experience in an administrative support role within higher education
• Familiarity with the University of Maryland systems and policies
• Experience with data/task management systems such as Airtable or similar platforms
• Experience working with data reporting or workflow automation tools
• Basic knowledge of SQL for querying data and generating reports
• Basic understanding of Python concepts (e.g., ability to read simple scripts and understand data structures) ​
