- Hold or complete a CDL Class B with School Bus and Passenger endorsements
- Complete First Aid and CPR Certifications
- Pass FBI Criminal Background Review
- Pass Pre-employment Drug Screening Test
- Pass WV Department of Motor Vehicle Driving Record Review
- Pass the State Mandated Medical Physical Examination
- Random selection Drug and Alcohol Testing after employed
- Minimum of 21 years of age and 3 years driving experience
- Must provide a birth certificate
- Complete a minimum of 40 hours of instructional classes with a WVDE certified trainer
- Complete a minimum of 12 hours on the road training with a WVDE certified trainer
- Shall pass physical performance test
