Job Summary
Pinnergy is a diversified energy services company with a broad and comprehensive service offering to customers throughout Texas and Louisiana and is one of the largest independent oilfield service companies in its industry. Pinnergy has an immediate opening for a Diesel Mechanic Helper in its Carthage, TX location.
This position will be responsible for assisting mechanics in servicing and repairing various oilfield company equipment. Will perform scheduled preventative maintenance, as well as non-scheduled maintenance and cleaning of work areas.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Will be assisting with the preventative maintenance of equipment.
- Will assist with the repairing, replacing, dismantling, and inspecting defective equipment such as pumps, valves, hydraulic systems, diesel engines, transmissions, generators, general work-over and drilling auxiliary equipment.
- Help maintain and keep the shop area clean.
- Preforms additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- ASE certified a plus.
- Minimum of 1 years experience working in a diesel shop environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Requirements
- Must always work in a safe and efficient manner.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License, CDL is not required but a plus.
- Must have some tools.
- Must be willing to work the required 12-hour shifts.
- Must have a mechanical aptitude.
