Job Opportunity: Part-Time Activities Assistant

Facility: Delta View Post Acute

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Status: Part-Time

General Purpose

Are you a creative, energetic individual looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors? Delta View Post Acute is seeking a dedicated Activities Assistant to help our Activity Director run a vibrant, interactive, and high-quality activities program.

Your goal will be to ensure our residents enjoy an ongoing program designed to meet their physical, mental, and psychosocial needs, all while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and corporate standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

As an Activities Assistant, you will be the heartbeat of our resident engagement. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Program Execution: Participate in planning and leading individual, small-group, and large-group activities.

  • Communication: Act as a bridge between staff, residents, families, and the public to ensure our residents' best interests are always met.

  • Planning & Documentation: Assist in developing the monthly activity calendar, maintaining attendance records, and completing assessment documentation/quarterly progress notes.

  • Clinical Collaboration: Participate in discharge planning, resident assessments, and the development of personalized activity care plans.

  • Logistics: Assist in arranging transportation for resident outings, medical appointments, or discharges.

  • Inclusion: Encourage participation in hobbies, crafts, and reading. Provide specialized materials (like Braille or audiobooks) for residents with specific needs and visit bed-bound residents for in-room engagement.

  • Quality & Environment: Help the Quality Assurance committee correct any identified deficiencies and keep the Activity Department clean, organized, and secure.

Requirements

  • Experience: Previous experience in a skilled nursing or post-acute setting is a plus, but a passion for senior care is a must!
