The Cumberland School Department is looking for a Certified Special Educator to work as a Mild/Moderate or Severe and Profound teacher for our extended school year, which runs from July 6, 2026 through August 6, 2026 (no ESY on Fridays). You will receive support from teacher assistants and therapists as well as our on-site ESY coordinator.

You will be responsible for implementing IEPs, writing a summer progress report, and developing lessons.

Applicants must possess Rhode Island certification or have submitted a complete certification file to RIDE prior to the start of the ESY program. New or soon-to-be graduates are welcome to apply.
