Role Summary
Pearson, the global learning leader, is seeking a Lead, Enterprise Learning and Skills – India role to serve as the managing director for key strategic client relationships, and hold responsibility for the Enterprise Learning and Skills business in India.
The role leads Pearson’s most influential enterprise relationships in one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing talent markets. This role requires a strong, visible leader with deep expertise in AI, workforce transformation, digital learning, and India’s evolving professional skills ecosystem. The leader will build and drive complex 360 partnerships to deliver impact at a national and organizational scale.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth with key Enterprise partners driving India’s talent and skilling ecosystem
Lead multi-year account strategies for top Indian-headquarted enterprises.
Close large transformation programs across AI skilling, employability, digital learning, and credentials.
Lead the India enterprise team, and support their growth and development whilst continuing to build new indigenous opportunity pipeline and close deals
Build country-wide GTM to expand Pearson’s footprint across new industries, government programs, and education-to-employment pathways.
Executive Influence & Government Advisory
Build trusted relationships with CXOs driving India’s professional skilling priorities.
Advise clients on AI readiness, digital literacy, workforce mobility, and emerging technology adoption.
Represent Pearson in India-specific forums, councils, and policy dialogues.
AI-, Skills-, and Data-Led Consulting
Translate Pearson’s AI capabilities, labor market intelligence, and skill taxonomies into actionable client strategies.
Provide thought leadership on India’s evolving digital ecosystem and future workforce needs.
Guide clients on responsible adoption of AI-driven learning and assessments.
Ecosystem & Partner Leadership
Collaborate with hyperscalers, SIs, academic institutions, industry bodies, and public-sector partners.
Lead virtual cross-functional teams across India and global hubs to deliver integrated solutions.
Shape co-create models with technology partners to reach scale
Team leadership
Own the ELS strategy and business in India, working collaboratively with global and regional leadership to set and meet business objectives.
Create an environment for high performance, enable entrepreneurial spirit and champion continued development across the ELS team,
Complete reporting and administrative tasks as requested by regional and global leadership teams in a timely manner.
Qualifications
12+ years in enterprise sales, consulting, or large-scale government/industry transformation roles.
Deep exposure to India’s talent, skilling, EdTech, and government procurement ecosystems.
Demonstrated success leading complex multi-party deals.
Demonstrated team leadership in a hybrid work environment, and experience growing a high performing sales team
Strong understanding of AI, digital learning, and emerging tech adoption in India.
