Job Description


Under a board-approved supervisor, provides clinical and consultative services to prevent, assess, evaluate, and treat mental emotional or behavioral disorders of youth ages 3-20 within the Wellness for Children and Adolescents Restorative Empowerment (WE CARE) Clinic.

Schedule: Hybrid

3 days in-clinic, 2 days from home.

Responsibilities

 Provides counseling and case management services for patients using evidence-based practices.
 Performs crisis interventions as needed.
 Coordinates with referring providers and other professionals, family members as needed, to engage patient in care.
 Provides liaison between clinical team, clinical leadership, and other professionals involved in the patient’s care.
 Consults and assures continuity of care, conveys assessment findings, and implements therapeutic plans.
 Prepares reports and other documentation in accordance with good clinical practice and institutional standards.
 Performs all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and clinical experience with mental health issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide diagnostic assessment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain trust and rapport.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Strongly preferred Bilingual in English/Spanish.

EDUCATION:

Up to one (1) year related experience

EXPERIENCE:

Up to one (1) year related experience

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

At minimum, registered with the Texas Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists as an intern.

QMHP eligible and on track to LPC preferred.
