SHIPPING WAREHOUSE

Diamond Plastics Corporation has an immediate opening for a shipping warehouse position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is for all aspects of material handling and safe operation of material handling equipment. The following are core essential functions of the position:

·         Operate material handling equipment to load and unload product in an efficient and safe manner.

·         Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs.

·         Accurately load and unload product, using forklifts.

·         Ensure that bundle and band material still meets inspection.

·         Check product for visual properties or damage prior to shipment leaving.

·         Ensure that all shipments are correctly loaded and stable.

·         Record numbers of units handled and moved, using pick list.   

·         Move stock, and other materials to and from yard and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or using forklifts and other equipment.   

·         Rebundle product as necessary.

·         Assist with inventory counting and reporting.

·         Assist with receiving inventory.

·         Carry out general yard duties such as cleaning up debris/scrap, maintenance up keep of the yard and/or equipment, and maintaining efficiency of the stock inventory in the yard.        

·         Shovel material such as gravel or ice within the yard or around the premises.

·         Perform daily routine maintenance checks on loading equipment.

·         Reliable attendance.

·         Comply with all company standards, rules and policies.

·         Other tasks as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

·         High School diploma or GED.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

·         Must be able to work 8-hour shifts.

·         Must be able to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day.

·         Must be able to lift, push and lift product with weights up to 60 pounds

 SCHEDULE

·         8-hour shift

·         Day shift

·         Monday to Friday

·         Overtime

·         Weekends as needed

·         Expected hours: 40 per week
