    Position Title: Learning & Innovation Coach

    FTE: 1.0

    Reports To: Director of Professional Learning & Curriculum, Director of Technology

    Collaborates With: Building Principals, Student Services

    Primary Purpose

    The Learning & Innovation Coach partners with teachers to improve instructional practice and student outcomes through the use of research-based teaching strategies and purposeful integration of technology. This role builds teacher capacity through non-evaluative coaching, modeling, and job-embedded professional learning aligned to district priorities.

    The coach serves as a bridge between curriculum, instruction, and technology�ensuring that digital tools are used to enhance, deepen, and transform student learning.

    Core Responsibilities:

    1. Instructional Coaching (Primary Focus)

    • Partner with teachers in non-evaluative coaching cycles (goal setting, modeling, observation, feedback, and reflection)
    • Co-plan, co-teach, and model high-impact instructional strategies aligned to district curriculum
    • Support the implementation of differentiated instruction to meet diverse student needs
    • Facilitate reflective conversations that promote continuous instructional improvement
    • Provide timely, specific feedback grounded in student learning evidence
    • Support teachers in using multiple sources of data to inform instructional decisions
    • Facilitate analysis of student work and formative assessment practices
    • Help teachers align instruction to state standards and district learning targets
    • Guide teams in monitoring student growth and adjusting instruction accordingly

    2. Technology Integration (Instructional Focus)

    • Basic maintenance and troubleshooting of student technology (Primarily student iPads)
    • Assist in the installation and support of newly acquired computer hardware (MacBooks, iPad, printers, etc.) and software
    • Supports students and teachers in proctoring district and state assessments
    • Support teachers in integrating technology to enhance learning using frameworks such as SAMR and/or TPACK
    • Collaborate with teachers to design learning experiences that move beyond substitution toward transformation
    • Provide training and support on instructional technology tools and digital resources
    • Partner with the Director of Technology to align tools and systems with instructional goals
    • Support digital assessment administration and instructional continuity

    Qualifications

    • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
    • Minimum of 4 years of successful teaching experience with recent "Excellent" ratings
    • Demonstrated knowledge of:
      • Research-based instructional practices
      • Differentiated instruction
      • Data-informed teaching
      • State and district standards
    • Preferred:
      • Experience with instructional coaching or teacher leadership
      • Experience designing and delivering professional learning
      • Knowledge of instructional technology frameworks (e.g., SAMR, TPACK)
      • EL Certification
      • Apple Teacher and/or Google Teacher

    Salary

    Please refer to the Park View Council of Teachers Contract for the salary schedule.
