Job Description

Job Title: Lead Financial Analyst

Position Overview:

At Irwin, we are in the midst of a significant business and systems transformation, including the implementation of a new ERP platform. As part of this, we are looking to add a finance professional who can operate at the intersection of accounting, operations, and business insight.

This role is designed for someone with a strong accounting foundation who is looking to broaden into a more integrated finance role with exposure across the business.

What you’ll do

  • Support and help evolve the financial close process, including ownership of key accounts and analysis
  • Partner with operations, commercial, and supply chain teams to provide financial insight and decision support
  • Contribute to ERP implementation and process design, including data structure, reporting, and controls
  • Develop reporting and analysis that connects financial results to business drivers (volume, pricing, mix, cost)
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and overall financial visibility

What we’re looking for

We are open to candidates from multiple backgrounds, including:

  • Professionals with 5+ years of blended experience between public accounting and industry
  • Individuals with an accounting or finance degree who have built experience directly in a corporate or manufacturing environment

Strong candidates will have:

  • A solid foundation in accounting principles and financial statements
  • 2–6 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and connect financial results to business activity
  • Interest in systems, process improvement, and how finance supports operations
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a desire to grow beyond a traditional accounting role
  • CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus, but not required
  • Experience working in an international business is a plus

Why this role

This role offers exposure beyond a traditional accounting or analyst position. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Participate in a company-wide ERP implementation and transformation
  • Work directly with cross-functional teams across the business
  • Build a broader understanding of how financial performance is generated
  • Accelerate your development through hands-on experience and responsibility
