Position SummaryTo work as a UNM Lifeguard you must maintain patron
surveillance of the facility while enforcing rules and regulations
effectively as directed by the University and State of New Mexico
Environment Department. Must be able to: spot dangers and
potential hazards to prevent serious injury or accident; control and
report unruly behavior; maintain accurate detailed documentation of
headcount, first aid practices and others; perform cleaning duties. Must act
immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of an
emergency.  Must provide emergency care and treatment as a team as set by
American Red Cross standards and procedures.
