Job Summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.

We have an exciting opportunity for a UAV Specialist within our US Marine Corps group. This position supports the fleet of USMC MQ-9A aircraft, including systems at domestic and overseas sites, providing hands-on technical support for fleet training exercises, and maintenance and troubleshooting efforts. This position also provides technical reach back support to the customer, interfacing with GA-ASI and customer teams as needed.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Represents GA-ASI at customer training events, will be the primary focal point for real time technical support, to ensure mission readiness of GA aircraft systems.
Manages sustainment of deployed aircraft and ground systems, leading on-site maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
Supports information requests from partners, including customer engineering and program leadership.
Contributes to technical trade studies that feed into long range planning of system configuration, and technology roadmap.
Interfaces with GA functional engineering teams in support of technical investigations.
Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
Ability to travel up to 25%.

Job Qualifications

Typically requires education or formal training equivalent to the completion of a bachelor's degree and nine or more years of professional engineering/military technical experience and/or professional in-depth engineering/military documentation experience. In addition, must have two or more years of management/customer interface. Equivalent professional engineering/military technical experience or military operations and maintenance experience may be substituted in lieu of education/training.
Must demonstrate a comprehensive and thorough understanding of the engineering/military principles underlying the technology, an excellent working knowledge of the engineering development process, and a thorough understanding of logistic support analysis, principles and procedures.
Ability to work both independently and lead in a team environment is essential.
Ability to work extended hours and travel as required.
Ability to obtain a maintain a DoD secret security clearance.
Must possess:
