Resident Benefit Coordinator

 

Salary: $23.58 - $25.11

Position Overview: The Resident Benefit Coordinator oversees all aspects of resident financial benefits, ensuring compliance with representative payee responsibilities, including banking, reporting, and regulatory requirements. This role manages rent calculations, personal allowances, and SNAP transfers, while maintaining residents' eligibility for Social Security and Medicaid through accurate reporting and recertifications. The Coordinator conducts monthly cash audits, monitors resident funds, and serves as the primary liaison with the Social Security Administration. Additionally, the position supports staff training on client fund procedures, assists with financial inquiries, contributes to process improvements, and provides backup support for purchasing and accounting functions..

Work Location: Canandaigua, NY

Schedule: Full-time; M-F 8am-4pm.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates Representative Payee and Personal Allowance process. 
  • Ensures proper maintenance of individuals benefit eligibility.
  • Primary lead for conducting cash audit at all sites. 
  • Primary liaison with Social Security Administration related to Residents benefits/spending.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Accounting or Business Administration with a minimum of three (3) years of accounting experience or equivalent.
