We are looking for a skilled mechanic to troubleshoot, repair and maintain a fleet of forklifts and log stackers. You will be responsible for ensuring functionality and reliability of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems in rolling stock.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must pass company alcohol and drug screening test
- Ability to safely troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems in a timely manner
- 2 years in automotive or heavy equipment repair industry
- Maintains and repairs all aspects of jitneys used in mill
- Able to lift/carry/push up to 50 pounds
- Must have good communication skills
- Examine parts for damage or excessive wear
- Weld broken parts and structural members
- Attend all safety and crew meetings
Preferred:
- Post-secondary or trade related education
- LP license
- Class A CDL
