Highlights of this role:
- Inpatient, 7 days on/7 days off
- You will be a part of our dynamic, multi-disciplinary team providing excellent care to patients with a variety of liver diseases
- Join our team of Hepatologists, GI/liver fellow, APPs, in house transplant coordinators, transplant pharmacist, social worker and dietician working together to provide team focused patient care
What you’ll do:
- Manage patients with cirrhosis and the associated complications, as well as management of patients undergoing liver transplant evaluation and post-transplant patients admitted to the hospital
- Consultations, daily rounds, progress notes, H&Ps, discharges, ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing, provide patient/family education and counseling for patients with chronic liver disease/cirrhosis.
Who you are:
- Experienced APP with at least 2 years of either Gastroenterology experience, Hepatology/transplant or hospitalist medicine preferred
- New grads will be considered
- Physician Assistant – Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required, Master’s Degree preferred. Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred.
- Acute Care Nurse Practitioner – Master’s Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required. License to practice as a Registered Nurse required. Certification in the area of practice from a nationally recognized certifying body required. Acute Care board certification needed based upon population and acuity served.
- APP who can demonstrate appropriate critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
- APP who has the ability to prioritize and make proactive decisions.
