    Long-Term Substitute Art Teacher

    Freeport Middle School is seeking a long-term substitute Art Teacher to fill a vacancy beginning at the start of the 2026-2027 school year through approximately the end of November. 

    The position will require the applicants to take over the responsibilities of the sole art teacher in the building covering art class for grades 6th, 7th and 8th. 

    Applicants must be a flexible and creative individual that is comfortable working with middle school aged students. Preferably applicants should also have a background in art with a strong understanding of fundamentals. A 620- Visual Arts Certification from the ME Dept. of Education is suggested. 

    This position is anticipated to run from August 25, 2026, through November 24, 2026. 

     

    Requirements: 

    Must hold valid CHRC Certification from the ME Dept. of Education. 

    Position remains open until suitable candidate is found.
