Overview:

Location: Quincy, IL
Pay Range: $20.57 – $30.86 per hour | Based on Relevant Experience
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, daytime hours, rotating on-call (some variability based on departmental needs and occasional after-hours response for maintenance needs)

About the Role:

Quincy Medical Group is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Specialist to support the upkeep and functionality of our facilities. This role is responsible for maintaining buildings, grounds, equipment, and fixtures to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient environment for patients and staff.

 

This position is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge across multiple trades who takes pride in quality workmanship and preventative maintenance. You’ll play a key role in supporting daily operations by responding to maintenance needs, completing repairs, and helping maintain a professional healthcare environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for the operation, repair, and preventative maintenance of building systems including mechanical, electrical, and HVAC components. This role performs general building and grounds maintenance, including repairs, installations, and improvements related to plumbing, painting, flooring, and fixtures. Responsibilities include maintaining furniture and equipment, responding to maintenance requests and facility emergencies, and ensuring all work areas are safe and well-maintained.

 

You will also assist with maintaining maintenance records, supporting inventory and supply needs, and contributing to ongoing facility improvements. This role requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively while supporting the overall needs of the organization.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Associate’s degree or technical training in a related field preferred
• 4+ years of maintenance or trade experience preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and general building systems
• Experience with building repairs, remodeling, and general construction tasks preferred
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks including standing, climbing, and bending
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and responsive to urgent maintenance needs
