Job Description

Investment Oversight Manager - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

This is a great job for someone who has knowledge of legal and regulatory provisions applicable to the UCITS/AIF fund industry and especially of the CSSF Circular 18/698 are essential part of the role.

A bit about the job:

The purpose of this role is to play a key part in building and embedding the Aviva Investors Luxembourg Investment Management Oversight Framework in line with local regulatory requirements. The role will involve undertaking due diligence reviews and ongoing monitoring of delegated portfolio managers across both liquid and illiquid strategies, alongside providing regular oversight of delegated portfolio management activities in close collaboration with investment teams, internal control functions and other key stakeholders. You will be responsible for establishing, maintaining and analysing relevant investment management KPIs and KRIs, ensuring contractual documentation and SLAs are accurate and up to date, and participating in internal forums to ensure timely receipt of first‑line information relating to funds and mandates. The role also includes liaising with delegated investment managers to agree and monitor corrective actions where risk indicators or performance measures are not met, supporting the preparation of reports for internal committees and Boards, and working closely with teams such as Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit on investment management matters.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Either a relevant degree (economics, finance, accounting or related discipline) or able to demonstrate a suitable depth of intellectual rigour and maturity.

  • CFA or CAIA or equivalent qualification an advantage

  • Strong Knowledge of all asset classes.

  • Broad knowledge and understanding of investment industry.

  • Successful track record of building effective working relationships at a senior level to actively influence and achieve results
