This position will report to Nash Plumbing and Mechanical, LLC, a subsidiary of HB Global.
Essential Duties and Functions:
- Responsible for general ledger accounting
- Assist Controller with the monthly close process to include preparation of manual journal entries and maintenance of auto recurring entries
- Assist Controller with WIP reporting, preparation and maintenance of current Excel based Financial Reporting, and development of new reports as needed
- Assist Controller with preparation of annual operating budget
- Work with Pre-Construction to provide financial information needed for bid pre-qualifications
- Maintain Fixed Asset support files and coordinate additions, disposals, depreciation, etc. with external audit firm
- Prepare Monthly Reconciliations for various Balance Sheet and P&L Accounts
- Monthly reconciliation of bank account
- Various ongoing and special ad-hoc operational and corporate accounting/finance projects and management reports
- Prepare Audit workpapers for annual external audit
- Provide backup for other accounting functions
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be team-oriented and demonstrate a positive and professional attitude
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and practices
- Ability to exercise good judgment and ethical values
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel, Word, Outlook
- Willingness to take on multiple roles and responsibilities based on team needs

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Sage 300 CRE or other construction accounting software a plus
- Prior accounting experience within the construction industry
- Experience using Microsoft Teams
- Public Accounting / Auditing experience
