Our Compliance Officer, Legal Counsel CZ coordinates and supports initiatives to ensure AB InBev’s European business complies with major legal requirements and internal policies.

This role is all about judgement, not box-ticking. We’re looking for someone who can step back, understand the bigger picture, and apply policies with context — not rigidity.

You’ll lead investigations, work closely with a wide range of stakeholders, and navigate complex situations where there isn’t always a clear answer. Confidence is key — you’ll need to make decisions, balance risk, and operate autonomously within defined guardrails.

If you’re comfortable working in the grey areas, thinking critically, and owning outcomes, this role is for you.

What will you be doing:

Risk Mitigation

  • Prevent reputational harm by avoiding significant litigation or investigations related to anti-bribery, anti-corruption, whistleblower protection, sanctions, and listing rules.

Compliance Culture

  • Lead efforts to embed a culture of compliance through engaging communications and training.
  • Oversee the rollout of the Global Compliance Program across Europe.
  • Develop ethics and compliance codes for regional use.

Investigations

  • Manage the European whistleblowing platform and ensure legal compliance.
  • Coordinate independent investigations of reported breaches with relevant functions and committees.

Governance & Reporting

  • Support Europe Zone and Business Unit Compliance Committees.
  • Collaborate with national legal teams to implement the Global Compliance Program and monitor investigations.
  • Lead quarterly reporting to ABI’s Audit Committee and annual reporting to the Board.
  • Ensure compliance integration during M&A activities.

Team & External Management

  • Manage a small team in Prague, focusing on performance, engagement, and development.
  • Coordinate external counsel and consultants, including international law firms.
  • Oversee the compliance budget.

External Engagement

  • Develop and execute a strategy to elevate AB InBev Europe’s compliance profile within the broader compliance community.

What you will bring:

  • Fluent in English with strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with senior stakeholders
  • 5 years in a Compliance, Integrity or Ethics position with some people leading or management experience
  • Experience with Case Management Systems, Power BI, reporting dashboards
  • Have an affinity for investigation and recommend corrective actions
  • Stress resilient and results driven with a deep sense of integrity and ethics
