We’re currently growing our team of Artisans with a Shop Coordinator to support our Maintenance team. This role is located at our facility in Sherwood Park, AB and responsible for mechanical readiness of the RTI Mechanical Equipment. This position will help to ensure that all RTI Mechanical Rental Equipment maintenance is completed in a safe and efficient manner. All Mechanical Rental Equipment in the assigned market must be safe, reliable, and ready for use. Role emphasis will reside in three primary areas: Daily: Helping determine the prioritization of work being conducted at work center(s) with oversight of process discipline. Weekly: Helping with the scheduling of workload for the upcoming week(s). Ownership / Oversight of value-stream mapping for respective work center(s).


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Own equipment readiness tracking and ensure all assets are properly documented, maintained, and ready for deployment
  • Maintain accurate and organized records across Excel and internal systems to ensure data is reliable and audit-ready
  • Coordinate daily shop priorities with supervisors and technicians to ensure work is completed on time and without gaps
  • Assign and track work tasks to drive timely and consistent execution across the shop
  • Ensure all maintenance, certification, and documentation is complete, accurate, and ready for audit
  • Own equipment data within D365/DynaRent, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and real-time visibility into readiness status
  • Coordinate daily and weekly scheduling of shop activities to ensure work is prioritized, aligned, and completed on time
  • Maintain structured, organized, and efficient equipment storage and staging areas
  • Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed at all times
  • Identify and close gaps in process, tracking, and execution before they impact operations
  • Support continuous improvement efforts focused on efficiency, accuracy, and consistency
  • Support scheduling adjustments based on equipment readiness, resource availability, and operational priorities
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • 18 months+ of experience in a manufacturing, shop, or process-driven environment
  • Strong Excel skills required, including building and maintaining trackers, managing data accuracy, and organizing information for operational use; advanced proficiency preferred
  • Experience managing or maintaining equipment records, inventory, or similar systems
  • High attention to detail with a track record of maintaining accuracy and consistency in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience supporting scheduling, workload planning, or operational coordination
  • Ability to identify discrepancies in data or process and take action to resolve them
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working in a shop environment
  • Ability to operate a forklift and use hand tools
  • Valid Driver’s License (Class 5)
  • Knowledge of CRN requirements and other provincial regulatory bodies (ABSA, TSSA).
  • Experience working with multiple third-party vendors and the ability to integrate vendors into internal systems and procedures.
  • Pressure Equipment integrity, hydrotest and legal requirement knowledge, particularly concerning hoses, vessels and pipes.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in equipment maintenance or mechanical operations
  • Experience with Lean, 5S, or process improvement environments
  • Experience using ERP systems or maintenance tracking platforms
  • Valid Canadian Passport or ability to obtain one
  • Ability to operate a small truck/trailer or an advanced license (Class 3, etc.)

Working Conditions / Physical Demands

  • Work is performed in both an office and shop environment. This role requires being on your feet, working around equipment, and supporting shop operations as needed.
  • At times, work may include extended hours or supporting field operations, including shifts of up to 10-12 hours based on operational needs.
  • Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing stairs, ladders, operation of gantry cranes or other lifting devices and working in industrial conditions.
  • Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor conditions encompassing all seasons.

Travel Requirements

  • Minimal; less than 20%.
