Job Description

REQUIRED:



  • Bachelor's Degree; or

  • Minimum (5) years experience in working with utility companies on:


    • Energy Management Programs;       

    • Utility rates;           

    • Electrical & mechanical systems;        

    • Consolidation of meters;         

    • Retrofitting of lighting systems        

    • Cycling of air conditioning equipment;       

    • Calculation of electrical loads for new wing additions and for new campuses;

    • Bidding out for electrical power; and       

    • Writing energy management policies.       


  • Inspection of Backflow preventers and repairs (Domestic water/ Irrigation)

  • Trash Disposal           

  • Fire Sprinkler Systems          

  • Maintain generators   


PREFERRED:



  • Engineering or Environmental Science Degree; and    

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).     


The role of the Energy Manager is to provide leadership skills in planning, organizing, and coordinating an efficient energy management program consistent with Federal, State, and Local regulations, and to be responsible for implementing the district's Energy Management Policy.
