Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

A Trimline employee works as a floater, filling in for multiple roles on the cabinet construction assembly line.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Use airtools, drills, hot melt glue, jigs, and other equipment to assemble cabinets to specifications.
  • Install drawer boxes and dummy fronts for cabinets and install rails/clips into completed boxes.
  • Fold and install cardboard shelf braces into cabinets.
  • Use the hinging machine to drill doors and install hinges.
  • Use scanning system to verify RFID tags inside doors and fronts.
  • Accurately interpret production labels and assemble packing trays.
  • Ensure quality specifications are met for all aspects of trimline operations.
  • Maintain a safe work environment, including housekeeping
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to identify cabinet types, wood species, finishes, and color variances
  • Ability to use basic math concepts and read a standard tape measure

Required Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.

Required Physical Ability:

  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
  • Frequent bending, crouching, pulling, and pushing
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 30lb, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lb

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Working in an indoor environment with excessive hot, humid, and cold temperatures
  • Protective safety gear will be required including safety glasses and gloves
  • The noise level is usually moderate to high
  • Occasional overtime and weekend work as required
