- Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of a rigorous, TEKS-aligned Grades 6�12 ELAR curriculum

- Work cooperatively with district leaders and campus principals to develop and supervise instructional programs
- Coordinate the review, development, and revision of curriculum documents, including scope and sequence, curriculum guides, and instructional resources
- Evaluate curriculum and instructional program effectiveness using student achievement data and recommend improvements
- Analyze student performance data to identify trends and support targeted instructional planning
- Assist with the selection, implementation, and evaluation of instructional materials, textbooks, and digital resources

- Model effective instructional strategies and support classroom implementation
- Maintain and organize curriculum resources, instructional materials, and professional learning supports
- Assist in the development and management of budgets related to curriculum and instructional materials
- Serve as a liaison between the district, campuses, and community partners to support academic initiatives and student opportunities

Secondary ELAR Coordinator (6-12)
Primary Purpose:
The Secondary ELAR Coordinator is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Grades 6�12 English Language Arts and Reading (ELAR) curriculum in alignment with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS), district vision, and strategic plan. This position supports high-quality instruction through the Splendora Instructional Framework (SIF), coaching, professional learning, curriculum design, and data-driven decision-making. The coordinator collaborates with teachers, campus leaders, and district staff to ensure rigorous, engaging, and vertically aligned instructional programs that prepare all students to be life-ready.
