    Job Description: Summer Group Leader
    Department: Adventures Program

    Work Schedule: Tentative camp dates: June 2nd - July 27th. Subject to change based on MISD School
    Calendar for the 2025-2026 school year
    Hours: Approximately 8:30am-4:30pm (typically 8 hours per day), Monday - Friday
    Salary Range: $11.00

    Position Summary/Duties:
     Directly supervise a group of children before and after the regular camp hours
     Ensure children's safety, manage children's behavior and act as a role model and mentor
     Conduct activities and character development practices with children according to the program
    schedule
     Ensure maintenance and appropriate use of all building facilities, resources, supplies and
    equipment with care and pride; including organization, cleanliness and daily set-up/take-down of
    the program area
     Maintain positive relations with children, parents and co-workers
     Attend and participate in special events, staff meetings and staff trainings
     Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:
     Must be at least 17 years of age
     High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
     Experience working with school-age children in a day camp or similar setting highly preferred
     Ability to effectively communicate with staff, children, and parents
     Ability to plan and conduct age-appropriate activities including, but not limited to:
    outdoor/indoor games, songs, skits, crafts, and educational activities
