The Opportunity

Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a Production Coordinator (R&D) to join our team. Working in a team environment, the Production Coordinator (R&D) is responsible for establishing R&D schedules while working with operations to ensure both production and R&D parts are run and are delivered according to their MRP dates. This includes creating schedules using IMS and Excel.

Additionally, the Production Coordinator (R&D) will:

  1. Collaborate with MEs and Cell Specialists to ensure R&D jobs run according to schedule, providing support and guidance to maintain workflow.
  2. Review MRP release dates and R&D schedules daily to establish priorities for MEs and Cell Specialists.
  3. Use SAP and Microsoft Excel to manage production orders, including releasing, issuing, receiving, and closing shop orders.
  4. Oversee and manage all physical material flow throughout the entirety of a parts production cycle.
  5. Compile, maintain, and present detailed reports on a weekly basis to management team on current state of the cell’s hardware production.
  6. Proactively works to identify, escalate, and resolve manufacturing or supply chain issues that may impact performance to schedule.
  7. Develop and distribute status schedules on expected completion dates for hardware being manufactured in assigned cell and supplied to partner cells.
  8. Process Outside Process (OP) transactions including preparing and delivering outbound material to shipping and returning inbound material from shipping to the manufacturing cell. 
  9. Process miscellaneous material transactions including location changes, scrap, cycle count adjustments, etc.
  10. Manage all production order documentation to ensure accurate and efficient order processing.
  11. Participate in the training and development of other Production Coordinators to promote the continuous quality improvement of manufacturing operations.
  12. Be responsible for and accountable for product safety and the quality of work, including, as a minimum, all elements defined in the Company’s Quality Policy.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing and production scheduling. 
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Physical lifting requirements include; ability to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches), capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, a grip strength of at least 50 pounds, and be able to reach above the shoulder (65 inches above floor level, minimum)
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed.
