Purpose
Help students learn to understand and utilize the English language as they develop academic skills as required by State Standards.

Qualifications
ESL Certified teacher in the state of Indiana as regulated by the State Certification Department is preferred. Endorsement in Language Arts desirable. Without ESL Certification, experience in teaching ESL highly recommended. Must meet requirements for Highly Qualified Teacher in Indiana. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
