Full-Time: 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday

Coordinates admissions to Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living, and markets the facility to prospective residents and/or their representatives.

  • Coordinates admissions to skilled nursing. Obtains insurance authorizations, including Medicare eligibility. Notifies all appropriate departments of the pending admission, prepares the admission packet, entering complete information into the computer system, and requests needed documents from resident or resident representative.
  • Completes the admission contract and notifies each department with their required information. Collects and logs valuables as requested. Ensures Advance Directives have been requested, that resident is informed as to their rights about medical decisions and privacy, and that each resident is given documentation outlining Advance Directives' information and how to prepare one if one has not been executed.
  • For assisted living, coordinates admission process and processes all required documentation in a timely manner prior to requesting a nursing assessment. Gathers preadmission documentation as needed and provides packet to potential resident. Inputs admission into computer system once client moves in.
  • Markets the skilled nursing facility to prospective residents and/or their representatives, giving tours, and obtaining information with which to make an informed decision about the appropriateness of the resident. Encourages clients to take a tour, invites them lunch, encourages wait listing. Assists the Dir. of Admissions as needed with marketing events.

What you will bring

Our ideal candidate will be reliable and follow safety procedures and duties assigned by a supervisor.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology essential.
  • Experience dealing with clients in a customer service-based business or marketing required.
  • Prior experience in medical setting such as physician�s office, hospital or nursing home preferred.
  • Knowledge of Medicare and HMO regulations preferred.
  • High school diploma. Some college or technical schooling preferred.
