Job Description

SUMMARY:



Responsible for the repair and maintenance of all electronic gaming devices (EGD’s) under the direction of the Slot Technical Supervisor and the Slot Technician III’s.



 



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:




  • Ensures a fun and exciting gaming and service experience is provided to each and every customer by maintaining and repairing electronic gaming devices (EGD’s) on the casino floor.

  • Must be motivated, possess the ability to multi-task, self-starter team player.

  • Reactivates all "out of order" machines on the casino floor as efficiently as possible while following gaming regulations 

  • Assists in all service requirements that are necessary in gaming machine equipment. 

  • Maintains the internal appearance of machines and equipment. 

  • Promotes outstanding guest relations.

  • Must maintain familiarity with games in order to provide great guest service as well as resolve guest disputes as needed.

  • Handles routine guest concerns and incidents and identify situations that require supervisory assistance or involvement. 

  • Understands and complies with casino and departmental directives, policies and procedures. 

  • Performs all related and compatible duties as assigned.

  • Make sure components are working properly on the slot floor (monitors, printers, bill-validators, player panels) If they are not then swap them with good parts or create, generate, and communicate work orders.

  • Circulate the casino floor to fix any problems and maintain appearance of slot machines and replacing broken or burned-out bulbs and rubbing reels.

  • Troubleshoots and repairs machine malfunction and player tracking system problems.

  • Handle floor repair and proper preventative maintenance of all slot machines, including cleaning machines, overhauls, kiosks, and other activities as assigned, in accordance with gaming regulations.

  • Assist Slot Floor Cashiers when needed and requested by Slot Shift Managers.

  • Expected to seek knowledge and learn and demonstrate increased proficiency in the use of all equipment and procedures relevant to the job title

  • Must be able to perform all of the preventative maintenance required to keep a machine 100% operational.

  • Maintains a clean tech shop and does not contribute to disorder or chaos within the inventory system.

  • Must be able to keep a log of parts repaired

  • Must be able to do minor repairs (touchscreens on card readers and displays)

  • Maintains current knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws to include federal, state, compact, and internal property policies and procedures

  • Assists Slot Floor Cashiers with half-prints, paper fills, and other malfunctions

  • Assists Slot Floor Cashiers with half-prints, paper fills, and other malfunctions on the floor

  • Perform emergency drop procedures in compliance with gaming regulations

  • Assists with installations and removal of locks and player tracking systems.

  • Perform coin tests as needed.

  • Communicate with vendors to solve problems on the floor (call in tickets for leased games)

  • Log progressive jackpot readings and enter them into the Progressive spreadsheet nightly and as needed as well as reporting any issues to the Slot Shift Manager on duty and the Slot Technical Supervisor.

  • Regular attendance is required

  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends, flexible shifts and/or unusual hours.

  • Understand and comply with the Eye, Hi, Goodbye program.

  • Other duties as assigned by Slot Management.
