Senior Buyer

Location: High Point, NC ON SITE
Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Shift: Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm 100% On Site

💲 Pay: $80,000 to $90,00

We are looking for a Senior Buyer who shares our commitment to operational excellence and can help drive our supply chain performance through strong vendor partnerships and strategic purchasing.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Buyer, you will play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly by ensuring materials are available when and where they’re needed.

  • Execute purchasing schedules and maintain order cadence
  • Plan, issue, and manage purchase orders to support production
  • Expedite, reschedule, and adjust orders based on production demand
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve delivery challenges
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships while driving cost savings
  • Analyze RFQs and lead cost negotiations aligned with company standards
  • Maintain accurate planning data for vendors and part numbers in ERP systems
  • Partner with internal teams to meet operational and business needs
  • Resolve invoicing and receiving discrepancies
  • Support continuous improvement and procurement initiatives

What You Bring

Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field (preferred)
  • OR 5–10 years of equivalent experience in purchasing or procurement
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and inventory control
  • ERP system experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and results-driven
  • Experience with aluminum, steel, or industrial components is a plus
  • Proven ability to hold suppliers accountable

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to routinely sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear, use hands and fingers to keyboard, turn handles, feel, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, crawl, reach, and stretch. 
  • The employee occasionally moves around the office and enters the manufacturing areas.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. 
  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.

 Work Environment

Manufacturing Work Environment that will at times provide exposure to weather, noise intensity level, and proximity to moving mechanical parts. 

Light to Moderate noise (i.e., business office with computers, phone, printers, light traffic, and manufacturing noise from adjoining wall plant) 

Ability to sit at a computer station for an extended period.
