We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of Cybersecurity to lead and evolve our enterprise security capability in a fast-paced environment.
About the Role
This is a critical leadership role responsible for developing, implementing, and embedding a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy to safeguard Accent Group’s information assets, systems, and networks while enabling innovation and growth.
You will partner across Technology, Legal, and Executive Leadership to ensure cybersecurity is integrated into every layer of our business from retail operations to digital commerce.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Define and deliver the cybersecurity roadmap aligned to organisational objectives and industry best practice.
Lead and mentor a high-performing cybersecurity function, fostering a proactive, risk-based mindset.
Risk Management
Conduct ongoing risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and emerging threats.
Implement effective mitigation strategies to protect sensitive data and business operations.
Security Architecture
Design, implement, and maintain a robust, scalable cybersecurity architecture.
Oversee security and compliance technologies to ensure optimal effectiveness and performance.
Incident Response
Develop and maintain a comprehensive incident response framework.
Lead coordinated responses to cybersecurity events, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.
Compliance & Governance
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, standards, and evolving legal obligations.
Establish and manage a cybersecurity compliance program across the enterprise.
Security Awareness & Culture
Champion a strong cybersecurity culture through organisation-wide awareness and training initiatives.
Vendor & Third-Party Risk
Evaluate and manage third-party cybersecurity practices to minimise external risk exposure.
Collaboration & Business Integration
Partner cross-functionally to embed secure practices into technology delivery, retail operations, and digital transformation initiatives.
Team Leadership & Capability Building
Build and mature cybersecurity capability, processes, and delivery frameworks as the business grows.
Foster an environment that attracts, develops, and retains top cyber talent while encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- Proven experience in a senior cybersecurity leadership role within a complex environment.
- Deep knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, technologies, and best practices.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance obligations.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing capability across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, allocate resources, and deliver outcomes to agreed timeframes.
- Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced culture where priorities evolve quickly.
