SUMMARY

Entry level operator in either our molding, sintering or secondary department performing the following duties:

Tend to molding presses, sizing presses, sintering furnaces, tumblers or CNC equipment.

Understand the function and pressing action of the molding presses and the ability to operate them.

Load green powder metal parts received from molding onto the continuous feed belts of the sintering ovens and unload parts from the back of the oven.

Responsible for operating CNC equipment in the Secondary area with the ability to make most adjustments to the machines to ensure part quality.

Monitor equipment operation to ensure proper functioning and notify others of equipment repair or maintenance needs.

Measure dimensions of completed products or workpieces to verify conformance to specifications.

Use micrometers, depth micrometers, dial calipers, various gages and both beam and electronic scales to measure parts for conformity with specifications.

Maintain housekeeping and safety in work area.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

REQUIREMENTS

Ability to stand for periods of time while loading and unloading presses, furnaces and lathes.

Ability to read and comprehend work instructions, correspondence, memos and charts.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
