About the Role
Bohler’s Melville, NY office is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Design Engineer ready to grow their technical impact. In this role, you’ll support the design, permitting, and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including treatment facilities, pump stations, and conveyance systems. You’ll contribute to technically sound designs, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver high-quality solutions for municipal and utility clients throughout Long Island and the Greater New York region.

What You’ll Do
- Design water and wastewater infrastructure, including treatment facilities, pump stations, pipelines, and related systems
- Prepare engineering plans, specifications, bid documents, and permit applications
- Perform hydraulic modeling and analysis of water and wastewater systems
- Conduct site assessments, field inspections, and condition assessments of existing infrastructure
- Develop quantity take-offs and construction cost estimates to support project planning and delivery
- Apply a strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes to inform design decisions
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including surveyors, civil engineers, and environmental scientists
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies throughout design and construction
- Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal permitting and regulatory requirements
- Support construction administration through submittal reviews, RFIs, and field coordination
- Prepare technical memoranda and maintain organized project documentation
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline).
- 5+ years of experience in land development, water and/or wastewater engineering design.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software.
- Knowledge of local zoning, permitting, and construction requirements.
- Detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- PE license beneficial; EIT required or in progress.

Pay Transparency
Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.
The base pay range for this role is $90,000 – $105,000 per year.
