The Role
We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated Part-Time Overnight Veterinary Technician to provide attentive, compassionate care for stable post-operative surgical patients.
This role is ideal for someone who:
Has 2+ years of veterinary experience
Is confident working independently overnight
Wants consistent supplemental income
Thrives in a structured, respectful team environment
Schedule
Primarily 1 overnight shift per week
Typical shift: 6:00/6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (usually Tuesday night into Wednesday morning)
Start/end times can be slightly adjusted to accommodate your primary job
Even during weeks when no overnight patients are scheduled, you’ll still receive a guaranteed weekly base pay.
What You’ll Be Doing
Overnight patient care typically includes 1–4 stable post-op surgical patients.
Responsibilities include:
Monitoring post-operative surgery patients
Administering medications
Managing IV fluid therapy (Heska pumps)
Monitoring and documenting vital signs (HR, RR, temp, CRT)
Maintaining accurate nursing notes and morning handoffs
Assisting with restraint for blood draws if needed
Responding confidently and appropriately to any patient concerns
This is a relaxed overnight environment — but we are looking for someone clinically strong, detail-oriented, and dependable.
What We’re Looking For
Licensed Veterinary Technician, Non Licensed Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant.
Minimum 2 years of veterinary experience required
Proficient in core technical skills (venipuncture, IV catheter placement, medication administration)
Strong communication and documentation skills
Calm, self-directed, and reliable
Team-oriented and professional
Specialty experience is not required — we love to teach.
