    Summary:

    Diagnose, repair and install electrical equipment. Troubleshoot electronic and pneumatic hybrid systems. Troubleshoot low voltage systems (intercoms, radios, fire panels, etc.) and control systems for HVAC

               

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Work cooperatively with colleagues, supervisors and administrators.

    • Maintain and install electrical equipment.
    • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.
    • Troubleshoot and repair low voltage and specialty systems.
    • Assist Maintenance Supervisor and Buildings & Construction Coordinator on proposals, purchasing and specification on  electrical equipment.
    • Assist as needed with HVAC power, wiring, and controls.
    • Be able to do manual physical labor, lifting, moving furniture, materials, equipment and supplies
    • Maintain assigned uniforms, equipment, and tools, office and parts room in an operable, safe and attractive status.
    • Account for supplies, materials and equipment as required.
    • Complete records and reports as required in a timely manner
    • Maintain facilities, securing the facilities following the work completed.
    • Be part of a 24-hour emergency service to the district.
    • Other tasks may be requested by other supervisors, including the Director of Operations.
    • Support district and school efforts to keep CCSD safe and secure
    • Support and comply with grant, program and/or funding source requirements
    • Complete and comply with all required trainings annually
    • Adhere to NM Code of Ethical Responsibility of the Education Profession (NMAC 6.60.9.8)
    • Other duties as assigned, reasonably related to the scope of the positon
               

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED
    • Three years successful commercial experience in the Electrical trade.
    • Possess and maintain a current New Mexico Journeyman’s JE98 licensure from NM Construction Industries Division or their designee. EE 98 Preferred
    • Ability to read blueprints and electrical symbols.
               

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Knowledge of Dine language, culture, and history preferred
               

    Physical/Job Requirements:

    Standing, sitting, walking, lifting, carrying up to 50 pounds, climbing, bending, reaching, kneeling, driving a vehicle, traveling long distances, writing, typing, word processing, reading, researching information, and effective communication skills.

               

    Safety and Health:

    • Knowledge of universal hygiene precautions
    • Pass drug test if required for position
    • Completed and cleared background check
    • Knowledge and compliance with district and school safety plans
    • Wear protective device, such as back supports, eye wear, non-skid pads or steel-toe shoes, as job conditions demand.
    • Read, understand and on serve all precautions and proper methods of use on chemicals, equipment, tools and materials.
    • Proper precautions must be taken when working with heavier air gases, chemicals and welding equipment.
    • Adequate experience and training required to ensure protection of employee and building  occupants
               

    Equipment/Material Handled:

    • Hand tools, equipment, chemicals, and materials particular to this trade skill. Work vehicle, ladders, platforms, electrical tester, backhoe, trencher and tractors.
