Residential Manager

The Arc of Litchfield County (LARC)

Are you a compassionate leader who thrives in a mission-driven environment? Join The Arc of Litchfield County as a Residential Manager and help create safe, supportive, and empowering homes for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the daily operations of a residential home with a focus on person-centered care
  • Supervise, coach, and develop Assistant Managers and Direct Support Professionals
  • Ensure compliance with agency, state, and federal regulations
  • Oversee staffing schedules, coverage, and on-call responsibilities
  • Support individuals’ health, safety, growth, and community inclusion
  • Manage household budgets, personal funds, and financial records
  • Coordinate with families, guardians, nurses, clinicians, and external providers
  • Maintain a clean, welcoming, and well-run home environment

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma with 3–5 years of management/direct care experience or bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Experience supporting individuals with I/DD
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills
  • Valid Connecticut driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings/weekends as needed
  • Willingness to obtain/maintain required certifications (CPR, First Aid, PMT, Medication Administration, etc.)
