Terms of Employment:  190-Day Calendar/Salary is commensurate with certification level and verifiable years of experience.


 


QUALIFICATIONS: 



  • Valid Professional Georgia Teaching Certificate (Minimum T-4).

  • Minimum of three years satisfactory classroom experience in the identified content area.

  • Exemplary oral and written communication skills.

  • Proficient in the use of technology.

  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable.


RESPONSIBILITIES: 



  • Prompt and regular attendance

  • Teaches and tracks student mastery of identified content skills necessary to meet the Common Core Georgia Performance Standards.

  • Uses appropriate strategies to manage students, resources and the learning environment in the computer lab.

  • Evaluates and assesses, formally and informally, student success and keeps accurate records of student mastery of standards.

  • Works collaboratively with classroom teachers to plan and deliver skill lessons that support both content and technology across the curriculum, both in the lab and in the classroom.

  • Provides teachers with regular updates nad progress reports on student growth.

  • Differentiates instruction based on the specific needs of students.

  • Offers technology related professional development sessions for faculty, when applicable.

  • Maintains complete lesson plans and documentation for the purpose of reporting on student progress toward identified goals.

  • Establishes and enforces rules and procedures for the use of the computer lab.

  • Applies and models legal ethical use of technology at all times.

  • Provides technology leadership in the school by serving on technology related committees and as a school tech leader.

  • Participates in teacher training and staff development in order to continuously improve the quality of instruction.

  • Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor or Superintendent of Schools.


 


Physical Requirements:
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects.


 


Terms of Employment:
Salary shall be paid consistent on the System’s approved salary schedule. Length of work year and hours of employment shall be established by the system.



Evaluation:
Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Principal.
