Job Description

Hybrid Cloud Platform Engineer

Springfield, VA or St Louis, MO.

Active TS/SCI Clearance


Job Description Summary:

Work on a development team, utilizing Agile scrum methodology, which is responsible for developing and maintain agency wide Platform as a Service (PaaS) capability deployed across multiple security domains. The PaaS environment supports multiple tenants deploying a myriad of application stacks and data services

.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

•O&M of existing Red Hat OpenShift environment across multiple security domains in both Cloud and datacenter (vSphere) environments

•Support OpenShift operators and frameworks including Crossplane, Kyverno, RedHat GitOps

•Deploy OpenShift to new sites as they come online

•Work with internal and external teams to understand integration requirements and scale existing platforms to meet them

•Work with Security to ensure ongoing compliance and develop secure solutions

•Support data services including RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, Elastic Stack

•Compile detailed documentation


Education/Experience: 

•Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline.

•5-8 years Developer experience

•Meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA


Desired Skills:

•Experience deploying and managing RedHat Open Shift in a cloud and/or vSphere environment

•Experience with Amazon Web Services

• Python, Shell scripting, Git

•Linux distributions: RHEL/RHCOS, CentOS

•CI/CD orchestration tools: GitLab CI, Jenkins

•Container technology: Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud Native Computing Foundation ecosystem in general
