Caregiver (CNA Preferred)

What You Will Do

  • Follow the individualized service plan (ISP) for each assigned resident
  • Observe residents for changes in condition and report any concerns immediately to the nursing supervisor
  • Document daily care, including observations and any changes throughout the shift, especially during rounds
  • Check and record vital signs, weights, and perform other duties in accordance with state regulations and community policies
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, oral care, toileting, and dressing
  • Perform restorative care techniques such as proper positioning, ADL support, and passive range of motion exercises
  • Provide redirection, cues, and supportive communication to residents as needed
  • Encourage and assist residents in participating in scheduled activities
  • Assist with transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics and equipment
  • Provide transportation within the community and accompany residents to appointments as needed
  • Respond promptly to call systems and resident needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Why You Are Qualified

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • Nursing Assistant Training Program certification (as required by state regulations)
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred
  • CPR and First Aid certification (if required)
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and assisting residents throughout the shift
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with resident transfers using proper equipment
