- Direct and oversee all PEIMS submissions (Fall, Mid-Year, Summer, Extended Year)
- Ensure full compliance with Texas Education Agency (TEA) requirements and timelines
- Monitor data accuracy across student, staff, finance, and program records
- Interpret and implement updates to PEIMS Data Standards and state law
- Oversee attendance accounting in alignment with the Texas Student Attendance Accounting Handbook
- Serve as the district lead for the Student Information System (SIS) and PEIMS-related platforms
- Coordinate with technology staff to maintain system integrity, security, and integrations
- Develop validation processes, error-check protocols, and submission checklists
- Oversee year-end rollover and system transitions
- Train campus registrars, secretaries, counselors, and administrators on PEIMS coding and procedures
- Provide clear, practical guidance tailored to a rural district's staffing realities
- Build user-friendly systems and expectations that promote accuracy at the point of entry
- Serve as liaison with the regional Education Service Center (ESC) and TEA
