Job Description

Development Manager

The Development Manager role requires an experienced, self-motivated, and organized individual who can thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment.  This individual must be capable of managing the pre-development & entitlements of over a dozen projects at various stages.  The Development Manager will direct the execution of projects under development and/or redevelopment via the Company’s Development and Developer Funding Platform (DFP).


What you will do: 

  • Review and succinctly summarize all zoning, municipalcodesand requirements.
  • Directconsultants on conceptualdesign, preparation of preliminary budgets, projectschedulesand risk analysis on proposed projects.
  • Seek proposals, negotiatecontractsand manage the activities of consultants hired to perform specific project-related activitiesincluding architectural, civil, survey, geotechnical and environmental services.
  • Research andreport onpublic funds orgovernment policies (City, County, State and Federal)that support proposed projects.
  • Manage the site plan approval processas well as supportefforts to obtain building permits.
  • Assistin monitoringselectconstructionactivityof projects as well as other site-specific activities.
  • Maintain active working relationships withmunicipal officials and staff.
  • Drive process improvements and develop best-in-class methodologies in diligence and project management.  
  • Comprehensively report status of developmentand DFPpipeline activity to senior management.  

Who you are: 

  • 7+years of commercial real estate transactions/developmentexperience
  • BA/BS degree in Engineering, Project Management, Real Estate Development,Constructionor related field preferred
  • Ability to interpret zoning/municipal codes
  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Excel,PowerPointand Project
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams and with external partners
  • Articulate issues and recommend solutions clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing
  • Comfortable working with budgets, invoices, and project documentation
  • Self-motivated, service-oriented, and adaptable, with a willingness to support evolving business needs.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a growing Team
