Technology Project Manager

Fike Corporation, a rapidly growing international manufacturer of pressure relief, explosion protection, fire suppression and detection equipment, has an opportunity for a Technology Project Manager position. Fike is a privately held business located in Blue Springs, MO with over 400 employees locally & over 1,200 employees worldwide.

 

Job Summary:

The Technology Project Manager will lead and govern a portfolio of IT initiatives across a hybrid delivery model (Define–Develop–Deliver milestones, Waterfall, and Agile). This role partners closely with other Project Manager(s) and technical delivery teams while serving as an interface to technology leaders and business stakeholders. The Technology Project Manager is responsible for portfolio oversight, milestone governance, executive reporting, stakeholder communications, and ensuring disciplined, metrics-driven IT delivery including Agile Management. Will lead assigned technology projects, and contribute to a framework for project management for others to follow. Strong program management capabilities are essential. This role operates within a Salesforce ecosystem and leverages Jira for work management and reporting.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Portfolio & Program Management

1. Manages a portfolio of IT projects aligned to strategic business priorities

2. Drives roadmap planning, sequencing, and cross-project dependency management

3. Applies Define–Develop–Deliver milestone governance across initiatives

4. Provides executive-level visibility into scope, schedule, risks, budget, and outcomes

5. Identifies and manages interdependencies across programs

 

Project Delivery Leadership

6. Leads Waterfall-style initiatives through structured milestone execution

7. Partners with other project manager(s) to support Agile team delivery

8. Ensures alignment between Agile sprint execution and overall project milestones

9. Facilitates project reviews and governance checkpoints with IT leadership

10. Proactively manages risks, issues, scope changes, and escalations

 

Stakeholder & Business Engagement

11. Serves as a liaison between IT and business stakeholders

12. Translates business objectives into actionable delivery plans

13. Leads regular project status updates and executive readouts

14. Manages stakeholder expectations and communication cadence

15. Drives decision-making and priority alignment

 

Metrics & Reporting

16. Defines and tracks delivery KPIs across the IT portfolio (velocity, milestone adherence, budget tracking, resource capacity, etc.)

17. Builds and maintains reporting dashboards within Jira

18. Presents portfolio health and performance insights to technology leadership

19. Supports continuous improvement through data-driven analysis

 

Tools & Environment

20. Operates within a Salesforce ecosystem (CPQ, Propel, Rootstock, CRM, etc.)

21. Utilizes Jira for backlog management, reporting, dashboards, and workflow tracking

22. Supports integration across ITSM and project delivery workflows

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Engineering or similar. Five years or more of experience in Technology Project Management. Experience managing hybrid delivery models (Waterfall + Agile). Strong program management experience overseeing multiple concurrent initiatives. Experience working in Agile environments. Proven ability to manage executive-level communications. Experience managing IT portfolios and governance processes. Hands-on experience with Jira reporting and dashboard configuration. Experience delivering projects within a Salesforce environment. Strong analytical and metrics-driven mindset.

 

PREFERRED: PMP or equivalent certification. Agile/Scrum certification (SAFe, CSM, PMI-ACP, etc.). Experience in enterprise IT governance frameworks.

 

Compensation: The pay range for this position is $90,686 to $113,358 a year. May increase depending on the level of experience of the candidate.
