ABOUT OUR SCHOOLS AND POSITION:
The California Virtual Academies (a network of 9 public charter schools) deliver online/virtual home based instruction to TK-12 students in California. While our schools do offer some scheduling flexibility, students are still required to complete approximately 4-6 hours of coursework daily & log attendance (entered by their parent/learning coach and verified by the teacher).
The mission of California Virtual Academy is to provide an exemplary individualized and engaging educational experience for students by incorporating school and community/family partnerships coupled with a rigorous curriculum along with a data-driven and student-centered instructional model. Student success will be measured by valid and reliable assessment data, parent and student satisfaction, and continued institutional growth within the academic community.
The Arts and Music Engagement Specialist supports students’ access to visual and performing arts (arts) education by coordinating and promoting arts instruction and enrichment opportunities. The role focuses on increasing student participation and engagement in arts programming through arts aligned communication, outreach, and program support, with an emphasis on direct student impact.

Full Time: Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm
You are not allowed to have another job during these contracted hours.
Starting Hourly Rate: $24.25/hour
Full time employees are offered health, dental, and vision benefits. Benefits information is only given out upon offer. We do provide training for all programs and we have a great staff to serve as your support system.

Requirements / Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE:
• Must reside in the state of California.
• Must reside within one of the following California counties: Alameda, Amador, Butte, Calaveras,
Colusa, Contra Costa, Lake, Marin, Mendocino, Napa, Placer, Sacramento, San Francisco, San
Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus, Sutter, Yolo, Yuba.
• Knowledge and experience working for CAVA or another California Managed School (desired).
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and on time.
• Experience supporting communication, outreach, or engagement initiatives.
• Experience with social media and digital communication tools.
• Web content management experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Canva, and Google Workspace.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with both adults and students.
• Self-directed and collaborative team member.
• Ability to travel to events, as assigned.
Certificates and Licenses:
• Bachelor’s Degree desired.
