Location: Office-based role located on-site at our West Fargo corporate headquarters, 728 East Beaton Drive, Suite 101.



General Summary

Primary responsibilities include reviewing, auditing, and processing payroll data such as hours worked, bonuses, commissions, tax withholdings, and deductions. The Payroll Specialist maintains accurate payroll records and ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Ensure accurate payroll setup and federal, multi-state, and local tax filings. Perform detailed data entry across payroll and accounting systems. Accurately process accounts payable and credit card transactions, support reconciliations, respond to inquiries, and collaborate across teams to ensure timely payments and compliance with accounting policies. 



What You’ll Do



Payroll




  • Owning the full-cycle payroll process for a multi-state workforce, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, every time.

  • Partnering closely with HR, Accounting, and Finance teams to ensure seamless data flow, resolve discrepancies, and support payroll-related reporting and audits. Additional responsibilities include managing garnishments and benefits deductions, preparing payroll journal entries, reconciling payroll data, and responding to employee inquiries with professionalism and clarity.

  • Serving as a subject matter expert on on payroll laws and best practices while continuously ensuring accuracy, accountability, and efficiency across all payroll processes

  • Maintaining compliance with all applicable federal and state payroll laws, including timekeeping, tax payments, garnishments, and levies.



Accounts Payable




  • Accurately enter and code accounts payable and credit card transactions and ensure timely payments to vendors

  • Assist in reconciling monthly general ledger accounts.

  • Answer questions from external and internal sources relating to payroll and accounts payable functions.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

  • Additional duties as needed to support the accounting and finance teams.
