Job Description

Expectations

  • Available for 5-10 hours a week for up to 18 months

 

High-level Job Duties

  • Execute special projects with a focus on tracking information & building spreadsheets related to key topics
  • Gain a basic understanding of the political process
  • Support the Government Affairs team across local, state, and federal activities with a focus on federal affairs
  • Support other office-related tasks as needed

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Cover letter and resume required.
  • Available for 5-10 hours each week during the spring, summer, and fall 2025 semesters.
  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree (B.S., B.A., M.A., or M.S.) with a GPA of 3.2 or above.
  • Demonstrated excellence in writing and presenting.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • A detail-oriented and organized approach to tasks.
  • An interest in politics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • A positive and professional attitude.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs.  Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
