Job Summary:

Supermicro is seeking a Software Design Engineer for Chungho and Bade. This role will be working within a team to design, implement and maintain our front-end of server management product. Candidate should be self-motivated and eager to satisfy customers' need by considering security, performance, optimization and usability in their designs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. work with teams to develop new applications in new or old switch platforms

2. work closely with hardware engineers to bring up high-speed Ethernet switch

3. design validation with lab team and debugging for customer issues

4. business trip to customer site for resolving customer issues

5. create/deliver technical documents for switch end-users


 

Qualifications:

1. Master degree in EE/CS or related engineering field

2. 5+ years of experience in Ethernet switch development is preferred. 

3. strong background in Python/C++/C development on Linux/ONIE/SONiC

4. familiar with developing/porting/debugging Linux device drivers as well as applications in a DevOps environment for datacenter switch platforms

5. familiar with switch fabric architecture and SDK/driver

6. experience in IEEE 1588, SyncE, NFV, DPU and open-source solutions is plus

7. familiar with version control utility such as GIT and Subversion
