Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Field Professional to join our team in Bridgeville, PA. In this role, you’ll work closely with senior geotechnical staff while building your own expertise. You’ll take ownership of routine assignments independently and contribute to more advanced field observations, testing, and reporting that directly support project success.

This position is ideal for someone based in the Pittsburgh / Southwestern Pennsylvania region, as a strong local presence is required. (Relocation assistance is not available.)

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Perform advanced observations and testing for the Construction Observation and Testing (COT) group (e.g., foundation inspections, proofrolls)
• Coordinate drilling activities including utility clearance, subsurface exploration oversight, site characterization, and visual soil classification
• Coordinate and review laboratory testing
• Prepare geotechnical exploration reports, including figures, test results, and logs
• Perform engineering calculations (settlement, bearing capacity, lateral earth pressure, pavement design, slope stability) with guidance from senior staff
• Assist in design efforts for retaining walls and other structures
• Communicate regularly with supervisors and team members throughout the workday
• Support business development efforts, including proposal assistance and identifying potential opportunities
