Title: Colocation Engineer
Base Salary: $89,000
to $145,000 annually or DOE

Job Summary
The Colocation Engineer
reports to the Colocation Operations Manager and supports the daily operations
and maintenance of customer datacenter and POP spaces. This role is responsible
for supporting electrical and mechanical maintenance activities, customer move‑in and move‑out coordination, cabinet
access control, and operational documentation.
Strong communication and
organizational skills are required to effectively partner with customers,
internal teams, and vendors. The ideal candidate is technically
strong, works independently, and collaborates well in teams. Some travel within the Pacific Northwest is
required for site visits, maintenance activities, and meetings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities listed below are a range of

Customer Enablement & Service Delivery
· Assist customers with logistics of move-in/out
and large equipment installs.
· Support the sales team with facility tours and
solutions engineering.
· Provide customer handoff CFAs and completion
documentation to support move-ins and new service turnups.
Infrastructure Operations, Compliance & Capacity
· Track and document maintenance activities
supporting colocation infrastructure.
· Perform audits of datacenter and MMR spaces,
including regulated ICA colocation in ILEC premises.
· Support capacity planning and electrical load
management on distribution systems.
Change Management, Access Control & Vendor Coordination
· Coordinate cabinet access control and customer
contacts/tenancy with the Security Team.
· Draft and execute MOPs for Change Management.
· Coordinate vendor services for customer
deployments and installs.
· Assist with vendor quotes, POs, and invoicing.
Operational Documentation & Asset Management
· Maintain database records, as-builts, panel
schedules, and inventory sheets.
· Support general Facilities and Critical
Infrastructure documentation.
Other Duties
· Performs
other duties as required to support the business and evolving organization.
Required Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED.
· Associate’s or Bachelor’s
degree in a related technical or engineering field, or equivalent in‑person, hands‑on experience within the
datacenter or communications industry.
· Minimum of three (3) years of
experience in datacenter or colocation operations, including facilities
support, customer deployments, and infrastructure documentation.
· Ability to lift and move
equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
· Ability to work in
environments of varying temperature and noise level.
· Strong
customer service, task management, organizational, and communications skills
· This position is required to
be in-person as needed for daily operations within greater Pacific Northwest.
Quarterly meetings are held in Beaverton OR, Everett WA, and Coeur d’Alene ID.
It is strongly encouraged to be within one hour’s travel of one location.
· Working outside of normal
business hours will be required to support planned maintenance and emergencies
as they arise.
· Must have and maintain a valid
driver’s license, auto insurance, and satisfactory driving record.
· Must complete a pre-employment drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Strong understanding of DC Plant and UPS
systems, exposure and experience with standby generators and transfer switches.
· Strong understanding of datacenter and
property management operations.
· Working knowledge of industry security
requirements and standards, including Tier Classifications, PCI, and SOC
certifications.
· Working knowledge of network devices such as
field gateways, switches, and TCP/IP.
· Strong exposure to fiber optic installs and
troubleshooting.
· Proficiently read and edit single-line and
one-line electrical drawings.
· Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot effectively
in fast-paced or emergency situations.
· Strong experience with Microsoft Office 365,
Netbox, and drafting software.

Work Environment
Work is performed in an office setting with
exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer,
keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work is primarily a
modern office setting.
